Who runs this site

hormonalacne.net is run as a standalone site, and we settle how any visitor data gets used. Questions go to privacy@hormonalacne.net.

What we learn about your visit

How the statistics work

Your browser sends page statistics to our own address, /api/view. From there they go to an analytics provider (EU) that stores them in the European Union. Your IP address is passed along so the provider can estimate your country and city. A random visit number sits in your tab's session storage so we can see which pages belong to one visit; it disappears when you close the tab, and we never connect it to a later visit. No cookies are set for statistics. Visitors from the European Union are only counted after they choose "Allow" in the notice on the page.

The analysis button

"Start my analysis" and similar links pass through hormonalacne.net/my-skin and then open acne.today, a separate paid service. The link tells acne.today that you came from this site and which button you pressed. Anything you do on acne.today, such as uploading a photo or paying, is covered by acne.today's own privacy policy, not this one.

Retention and sharing

Hosting logs are deleted within 90 days. Emails are kept as long as your question needs, and never longer than two years. Data goes only to the analytics provider and the hosting company, as far as they need it. We do not sell data.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your data, to limit its use, to take it with you, or object to its use. Email privacy@hormonalacne.net and you will hear back within four weeks. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the authority in your own country.
